Welcome 2019!

I certainly feel January 2019 has been kind so far!

I am delighted to announce I got engaged to my long term partner Paul whilst we were on holiday, which was really exciting, although we do not have a date for the wedding yet.

I've enjoyed some incredible days out hunting with The Belvoir Hunt, riding Nicky Dickson's 'Cevin' and Yvonne Chandlers 'Clemmentine De Brenne'. I have really enjoyed going back to my roots, and galloping and jumping natural country on lovely, talented horses. I Feel very lucky and I am looking forward to a few days with The Quorn in the near future.

Lovely picture thanks to Nico Morgan Photography of Clemmi out with The Belvoir

There has been a few changes in the yard in the last few months, not all expected ones, but as people say..... one door closes, another one opens, and I'm really excited about what the future holds, so watch this space! The best addition to the yard is to have Ellie Harding back working with me. Ellie has done all the major events with me for the last few seasons, but has been busy doing a degree as well. Now she has successfully graduated, to my delight she has decided she can not keep away from horses, so is back here at Low Woods.

I have been up to Chris Bartles for a spot of training with Gortfadda Diamond (Bertie), and he feels fantastic. His changes are really beginning to be established, and he has strengthened and matured since the end of the season. I will be aiming him at the new 4* level this year at Bramham.

Thankfully the winter hasn't been too harsh so far, so Im hoping it stays that way, and I will be out in February at dressage and showjumping shows and I've entered Clemmi in the EMDG One Day Event on the 24th Feb. The start of the season will be here before I know it!
